The UAE’s favourite community running event is back on Friday 22 November. The ADNIC YAS RUN now its third year is run completely on the state of the art Formula One circuit just three weeks after Vettel, Webber, Kimi and Alonso finish their laps. This year the ADNIC YAS RUN is more accessible with the addition of a 5k category complimenting the popular internationally certified 10k and kids 3k and 1k categories. We have also added a Corporate Challenge and UAE National Championship.

The 10k Individual comprises two laps of the F1 track. The race starts at dusk promising a unique twilight race finish.

The 5k Individual provides the unique opportunity for the whole family to run together comprising of one lap starting from the F1 pits through to the finish line.

Kids are welcome too; the 1k and 3k kids categories proved highly successful in previous years so we’re bringing them back for 2013. Hundreds of children participated last year and we look forward to seeing lots of great junior talent on the track again in 2013.

The ADNIC YAS RUN is a fantastic family event and a fun, active day out for all to enjoy. An entertainment village will provide a range of activities suitable for spectators of all ages.

Operation Smile is an international children's charity committed to saving lives and allowing children with clefts to smile properly for the first time. Operation Smile does this by providing free surgeries and after care to those affected. Since our founding in 1982 we have provided more than 200,000 free surgeries to children and young adults around the world and over 2 million comprehensive healthcare evaluations.

Personal requirements:

• All participants for the ADNIC YAS RUN 10k event must be 15 years or over on 22 November 2013. Participants of the 5k event must be between 12 – 15 years old as of 22 November 2013. Participants of the 3k event must be between 12 – 15 years old as of 22 November 2013. Participants of the 1k event must be between 8 – 11 years old as of 22 November 2013.
• The ADNIC YAS RUN distances do not necessarily require a high level of fitness, but you should be in a suitable physical condition to complete the chosen distance at your own pace.

Equipment requirements:

• Running shoes. There are no minimum standards for your running shoes.
• ADNIC YAS RUN encourage all athletes to protect themselves from the weather conditions using sunscreen, visors, sunglasses and keeping themselves hydrated to ensure they are suitably prepared prior to the start of the race.

Withdrawal /Transfer:

• Once you have completed the online registration process a refund of your entry fee is not permitted.
• Confirmed entries may be transferred to another competitor providing this has been completed one week before entries close. Yas Marina Circuit takes no responsibility for finding a replacement runner for those that cannot find a replacement.

Important Notes:

• All athletes enter and run entirely at their own risk.
• Participants aged 15 years old cannot compete in the 3k as well as the 10k individual and/or the team relay (i.e., they must choose one distance only).
• All athletes participating in the ADNIC YAS RUN must abide by the Laws & Rules for competition of the IAAF and other athletic related sports bodies. (Click here to download)
