The 2009 Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be an unforgettable
event to share with family, friends and colleagues.

Circuit as well as complimentary entry to the concerts being held on Yas Island
every night between Thursday October 29th and Sunday November 1st. Artists featured
are Beyonce (Thursday, 29 October ), Jamiroquai (Friday, 30 October ), The Kings
of Leon
(Saturday, 31 October ) and Aerosmith (Sunday, 1 November ).
If you have a two-day ticket (Saturday/Sunday) you can attend the track plus the
concerts on those days only.
To make the most of your Grand Prix experience, read the following information and
share it with those attending the event with you:
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
- You must have a valid ticket to enter Yas Island and the Circuit.– please wear your
ticket at all times
- If you want to drive to the event you must have your valid car parking permit for
that day affixed to your windscreen
- However you are traveling, allow plenty of time for your journey – traffic will
be heavy and delays are likely at peak periods. You are encouraged to use public
transport from Park and Ride locations listed below to make your journey as enjoyable
as possible.
- Please don’t try to bring prohibited or restricted items into the circuit. See the
list below.
- Gates open at 9am Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Parking overnight is prohibited, unless valid permits for both days are displayed.
- If you have not received your tickets via courier you must go to the Ticket Office,
located at Etihad Airways Headquarters building, before attempting to access Yas
Island. Directions and a map to the Ticket Office can be found at
http://www.yasmarinacircuit.ae along with full event information. You can
also call our ticket hotline on 800-F1 (800-31)
RIGHT TICKET FOR THE RIGHT DAY
Your ticket must be WORN AND VISIBLE at all times while you are at the circuit.
Please ensure you have the right ticket each day. It’s marked clearly on the ticket.
REMEMBER- You will not be permitted onto the island without a valid ticket
for that day
Your ticket contains an electronic chip which prevents copying and fraudulent use
and allows you access to your grandstand only, via electronic turnstiles. Other
than for the Paddock Club™, every ticket represents a specific seat in a specific
grandstand. You do not have the right to sit in any seat other than the one on your
ticket.
Any ticket holder may visit the F1 Oases, located to the rear of the Main Grandstand
and North Grandstands and between the South and Support Pit Building Grandstands.
If you have not received your tickets via courier you must go to the Ticket Office,
located at Etihad Airways Headquarters building, before attempting to access Yas
Island.
If you lose or damage your ticket once you are inside the circuit, you will need
to seek help from a customer service representative. Customer service representatives
are dressed in orange shirts and caps, with the words “Customer Service” clearly
visible on their shirts – you may also visit our clearly marked Information booths
located at each Grandstand. Our event staff will be happy to assist you.
If you lose your ticket before the event, you must seek a replacement before traveling
to the island. You can get a replacement by going to our Ticket Office at the Etihad
Airways Headquarters Building.
The person whose name appears with the booking will either need to collect the replacement
ticket, or be available and contactable by phone. This is important to enable the
Customer Service representative at the ticket office to verify key details of the
booking.
IMPORTANT- If you are unable to provide the seat number(s) that you have
misplaced, we may be unable to re-issue your ticket and you will be unable to attend
the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
If you have any ticketing enquiries, please call the hotline 800-F1 (800-31)
Everyone who purchased tickets automatically received a car parking space at or
near the circuit. Car parking capacity is limited so parking permits have been issued
at the ratio of one car parking space for every three tickets purchased. So, if
you bought one, two or three tickets, you receive one space. If you bought four,
five or six tickets, you will get two car parking spaces and so on.
The car parking permits are inside your ticket pack. The colour of the permit is
the same as your car park. So if you have a RED permit, once you get close to Yas
Island you need to follow the directions to the RED car park. It’s that simple.
Once there, our staff will show you where to park. Depending on which car park you
are in, you will either walk to your Grandstand or catch a shuttle bus for the short
journey to your seat. There are many shuttle buses and they will run throughout
the day.
You must have the car parking permit displayed on your windscreen to be allowed
on to Yas Island and into the car parks. Look at the reverse of the permit for instructions
on how to put it on your windscreen. You’ll also find directions there to help you
to find your car parking space.
Just as you have a ticket for each day, you also have a car parking permit for each
day. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT CAR PARKING PERMIT AND THE RIGHT TICKETS BEFORE
YOU LEAVE HOME.
Each permit contains a barcode which prevents copying and fraudulent use. One marked
space is available for each permit holder in the car park noted on the permit, and
as instructed by parking staff. Any car parked elsewhere, or using more than one
space, will be towed away and impounded.
Of course you DON’T HAVE TO DRIVE to the circuit. You may prefer to take public
transport. Details of public transport services are below.
Every person who has purchased a three-day ticket will also be entitled to access
Yas Marina Circuit on Thursday, 29 October to participate in the Pit Lane Walk.
The Pit Lane Walk will allow you to see the teams preparing their cars in the garages
for practice on Friday. You will never get closer to Formula 1™ than this!
The Pit Lane Walk will start from 2:00pm to 4:30pm (last entry at 3:45pm). THE CIRCUIT WILL
NOT BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC OUTSIDE OF THESE TIMES. Depending on the type
of ticket you have, you may be shuttled by bus from your car park or public transport
drop-off point to the circuit. MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE IN PLENTY OF TIME TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
Your ticket is for entry to the Pit Lane Walk only and does not allow access to
any grandstand. Food and drink will be available for purchase in the vending area
behind the Main Grandstand.
International music artist- Beyonce-will be appearing live in concert adjacent to
the circuit on the Thursday evening – you are free to enjoy facilities at the Main
Grandstand until the beginning of the concert. Shuttle buses to the concerts will
be available.
If you have a Paddock Club™ ticket, it will give you entry to a specific
suite in the Pit Building. The name of the suite is on your ticket. There is seating
inside and outside your suite.
The Pit Lane Walk will allow you to see the teams preparing their cars in the garages
for practice on Friday. You will never get closer to Formula 1™ than this!
Please allow plenty of time for your journey. Delays and queues are to be expected
at events of this size due to high traffic volumes.
Police checkpoints will be in operation at all points of entry onto the island.

criminal offence in the UAE to drink and drive, no matter how minimal the alcohol
intake is. If you are in the slightest doubt, DO NOT DRIVE – use public transport
or car pool.
• If you are new to Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general, there is much to see and we
