1st November – Last But Not Least Abu Dhabi GP Revised Race Date Confirmed

6th November 2008 - Abu Dhabi: In accordance with the announcement from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) following the World Motor Sport Council meeting in Paris, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) confirm that the inaugural Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will now take place on 1st November 2009 NOT on the 15th November as previously disclosed, however Abu Dhabi will still play host to the final race of the 2009 season.

The 2009 FIA Formula 1™ World Championship kicks off in Australia on 29th March and the season closes right here in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of November when the global spotlight will turn to Yas Marina Circuit.

Commenting on the announcement, ADMM Chief Executive Officer Philippe Gurdjian said: “Having worked in this sport for such a long time, you become very flexible and accustomed to change – the construction of Yas Marina Circuit is running to schedule and we will be ready in time ahead of the race. We are still delighted to be given the honour of hosting the final race of the season – we will make it a race to remember and in doing so, make the people of Abu Dhabi and the F1 community proud.”
