GoYas for UAE women’s health, fitness and fun

Yas Marina Circuit announced today the launch of GoYas, a fun women-only fitness programme aimed at getting the Emirates’ women motivated and moving towards a healthier lifestyle.

Announced today, International Women’s Day, and starting on 3 April, GoYas will take place every Wednesday during the month of April, offering complementary women-only cycling, running and classes at Yas Marina Circuit.

“GoYas is about inspiring the UAE’s women to be active in an inclusive and supportive environment", said Sana Al Hammadi, spokeswoman at Yas Marina Circuit. “Our Train Yas nights have become a mainstay on Abu Dhabi’s fitness and social calendar. Through GoYas we want to specifically extend the spirit that makes Train Yas so popular and special, to the women of the UAE.”

Complementary fitness classes will be offered under the GoYas programme including Zumba, Boot Camp and Pilates, as well as ladies-only Karting at the Yas Kart Zone. Participating women will also have access to individual nutritional and fitness assessments. Instruction for all fitness classes will be provided by four internationally certified female fitness trainers from Haddin’s Fitness, Abu Dhabi.

GoYas is the latest addition to the Circuit’s growing community programme, joining events that include Train Yas training nights, Tri Yas and Cycle Yas. Since 2010, Yas Marina Circuit’s athletics and community following has grown from a group of 250 cyclists in that year to over 50,000 attendees in 2012 alone.

“GoYas makes our community initiatives even more inclusive as it allows women to have fun and get fit in a friendly, supportive women-only environment,” added Al Hammadi. “We encourage women of all ages in the UAE to come to the Circuit and give it a go.”

GoYas membership is free and is available through registering on The inaugural GoYas will be held on Wednesday, 3 April, 2012 from 6-9 pm at Yas Marina Circuit.
