Excitement for this week’s 2015 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX was palpable as the first racing fans collected their tickets from Yas Marina Circuit today

The first of many fans turning up to collect their tickets were British nationals Rob Dexter (55) with his wife, Bev (52), who have recently moved from England to Abu Dhabi.

Excited by the prospect of their first Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, Dexter said: “We’re really looking forward to it. I have just moved to Abu Dhabi to start work for a couple of years and my wife is helping me settle in so we can’t wait to take in the atmosphere.

“Before moving to Abu Dhabi we lived England and my Dad was the village Police Officer at Silverstone and policed the F1 weekend there years ago, he has footage of Graham Hill racing around the track so we’re looking forward to getting some videos here at Yas Marina Circuit which I can send to Dad.

“We’ve only been here a few weeks, but I have already cycled around Yas Marina Circuit at TrainYAS so to see the cars go around the track is going to be fantastic.”

Organisers expect a 50-50 mix of local and overseas visitors this weekend, and with less than 1,500 tickets remaining, it’s sure to be another sell out crowd of 60,000 race fans.
