A BIG WEEKEND OF ON AND OFF-TRACK DECISION-MAKING AT YAS MARINA CIRCUIT ON SEASON ENDING F1® RACE DAY

The world of Formula 1® racing is all about making split second instinctive decisions that decide whether you take the chequered flag or end up in the gravel trap.

The world of Formula 1® racing is all about making split second instinctive decisions that decide whether you take the chequered flag or end up in the gravel trap.

But at next weekend’s 2016 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, the potentially title-defining decisions won’t just be confined to the on-track battle between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, or the GP2 and GP3 drivers fighting for their titles in an historic hat-trick of championship crowns up for grabs.

Away from the tyre smoke and brake dust, Yas Marina Circuit’s wide selection of corporate suites and hospitality tents will be the scene of similar high stakes judgement calls that come with big consequences.

The FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND has fast become one of the key business venues of the region’s corporate calendar. The circuit’s easy access to Abu Dhabi International Airport, its range of nearby hotels, and the wealth of corporate facilities, have attracted thousands of executives, CEOs and leading Government dignitaries from local and international organisations, all keen to network and make deals in a relaxed environment.

Yas Marina Circuit boasts 48 hospitality suites across the major grandstands, as well as 24 additional suites in the exclusive Paddock Club. The wide range of facilities allows companies of varying sizes and hospitality budgets to find an appropriate venue.

Leading executives from companies including Etihad Airways, DHL, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Total, Yahsat, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Al Tayer, Al Futtaim, Valvoline and Government bodies such as Masdar use the corporate hospitality spaces to make major strategic decisions.

Al Tareq Al Ameri, CEO of Yas Marina Circuit, said: “In some ways, the business world is similar to F1®. Both feature instinct and judgement calls in pressured situations to make decisions that can have significant consequences.

“We are very proud to host a weekend that encompasses all the on-track decisions of F1®  played out in front of millions of people, and also the behind closed doors decisions of the business world that can boost companies’ bottom lines.”

November 25-27 will be a weekend of sporting and business deciders all over Yas Marina Circuit. But the one the world will be waiting for is whether Lewis Hamilton is named a four-time title winner or whether Nico Rosberg picks up his first F1® crown.
