‘Drift AllStars’ will see two days of sideways racing action, along with entertainment, stunt shows, custom car displays and more

Yas Marina Circuit today announced that it will be playing host to the region’s biggest drift stars at an action-packed, two-day spectacle of racing and entertainment next month.

In the calendar for 7th and 8th of April, the Drift AllStars event will take place on the North Circuit of the world-famous F1® track and will see 20 drift cars from the GCC as well as 10 international drifters battle it out in front of local motor sport enthusiasts.

Among the international competitors, the UAE’s own Ahmed Alamri will be fighting for national pride, and as the reigning Drift UAE Champion he will be defending his home country’s honour at the home of motor sport in Abu Dhabi. Hometown heroes Sultan Al Qassimiand Khalifa Al Nahyanwill also be competing as they both make their 2016 international debuts on the drifting stage.

The previous professional drifting event we hosted was a huge success and draws a very engaged, high-energy crowd. Events such as Drift AllStars complement everything else we do at the Circuit brilliantly and we look forward to two more great nights at of action at Yas Marina Circuit in April.”

Gates open at 4pm, while the action kicks off from 5pm and, in addition to the all the drift thrills of the first round of the 2016 Drift Allstars GP Series, the event will also feature a super car showdown, more than 60 customised cars to check out as well as more than 150 cars from 15 different owners’ clubs on display.

The Drift AllStars Village will offer something for the most discerning petrol head, with stalls by Monster Energy, specialist car tuning garages and unique customisation projects and much more. Crowds will be entertained by a live DJ and MC on-stage, and the event will also wow visitors with stunt bikes and quads in the half-time show.

We cannot wait to see a star studded lineup of international drivers battle the best drift drivers in the Middle East”
