ADMM TO PROVIDE COMPLIMENTARY YAS ISLAND EXPERIENCES FOR FRONTLINE HEROES OVER ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX WEEKEND

As well as privileged access to the race, 600 frontline professionals will also get free entry to Yas Island’s theme parks, among other extra offerings being extended to the UAE’s heroes over race weekend.

Abu Dhabi, UAE. 9 December: Following last week’s announcement that Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) will welcome 600 UAE Frontline Heroes to the Yas Marina Circuit for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2020, ADMM today confirmed that the special guests will also be provided free access to Yas Island’s theme parks.

Each day across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, three groups of 200 Frontline Heroes will enjoy the F1® season finale on-track action from the iconic Abu Dhabi Hill, which will be named Frontline Heroes Hill in their honour this year.

In addition to providing free catering all weekend and a socially distanced spot on the Circuit’s best vantage point from which to watch the races, Yas Island has arranged for free entry to Warner Bros. World, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld as a token of appreciation for the sacrifices and acts of courage put forward by the Frontline Heroes.

The frontline professionals’ visits to the Circuit and the opportunity to enjoy the full line-up of Yas Island experiences have been arranged as a joint initiative between the Frontline Heroes Office and ADMM, with the support of Yas Island.

Saif Al Noaimi, Acting CEO, Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management (ADMM), said: “We are honoured and proud to welcome the UAE’s Frontline Heroes and want them to enjoy the best weekend possible with their colleagues and families. We have worked hard with the Frontline Heroes Office as well our valued partners on Yas Island, to provide an unparalleled experience as a token of gratitude for their incredible efforts and hard work to keep us safe.”

Her Excellency Professor Maha Barakat, Director General of the Frontline Heroes Office, added: “Around the world, and in the UAE, frontline professionals have faced the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic. During these challenging times, they have continued to sacrifice so much to keep the population sage. We are grateful to ADMM and its partners in Yas Island for this kind gesture to support and recognize the selfless acts of Frontline Heroes in protecting the community"

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral, said: “It is an honour to welcome our frontline heroes to Yas Island to experience the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2020. We are extremely grateful to each and every one of them for their service and dedication during what has been an incredibly challenging year. Giving our frontline professionals, who are the cornerstone of our community, the opportunity to create exceptional memories with their families at our award-winning theme parks, is only a small gesture of appreciation and recognition. To them, we would like to say thank you, we value and commend everything you are doing to keep us safe.”

ADMM is the management company that oversees Yas Marina Circuit’s operations and will be holding the showpiece event completely in line with the FIA’s specified COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring that the most stringent public safety precautions will be in place for the visitors, allowing them to make the most of their experience.

Frontline professionals supporting the UAE’s response to COVID-19 should check with their employers if they are eligible. Alternatively, if a frontline professional has been nominated, they should receive an email confirmation within the next X days.
