YAS HEAT ESPORTS was born from a vision to inspire and develop the next generation of virtual racing superstars. Our ultra-competitive, multi-platform teams assemble top-tier talent from every corner of the globe as well as bringing UAE esports hopefuls of the future to the forefront.

Based at Yas Marina Circuit, we are building world-leading racing programmes, an unprecedented academy system and dedicated esports community, all centred around an innate determination to succeed in the ever-expanding industry of virtual motorsport.

February 2020 sees the announcement of our YAS HEAT Academy recruits. Drawn from the UAE and the region, the next generation of YAS HEAT Esports.

THE RACING

The team, which has assembled a squad of top-tier Assetto Corsa drivers, will be entering the inaugural season of Gfinity’s V10 R-League, competing against the might of teams from motorsport powerhouses such as Williams Esports, Red Bull and Ford.

YAS HEAT will enter a raft of elite gamers into Forza and Gran Turismo competitions among other high-profile esports events, quickly establishing a foothold in the industry with the target of making a strong and immediate impact, as well as inspiring rising regional gaming talent.

THE SQUAD

Jaroslav Honzik – ‘Jardier’ – has a dedicated and loyal fanbase on YouTube, but is also well-versed in Assetto Corsa

Eamon Murphy has competed at the highest level across iRacing, Assetto Corsa and Project Cars 2, with multiple championship titles to his name in the latter.

Andrea Capoccia maximises his real-world motorsport experience setting up cars to give him the upper hand in the virtual world

Simone Fedele is relishing the opportunity to prove his worth on a global stage for the first time.

ACADEMY RECRUITS

The YAS HEAT ESPORTS Open Trials programme was created in order to provide aspiring esports racing stars from across the MENA region with the opportunity to learn, grow and develop, with the overall target of competing as part of YAS HEAT ESPORTS in high-level competition. Welcome our new recruits and follow their success across our social chnnels:

Khalifa Alqubaisi: Khalifa started sim-racing three years ago, with previous experience of real-world karting and racing.

Hazem Zaki: Starting in 2015, Hazem’s motorsport career took off. With his esport journey starting at the beginning of 2020.

Karl Etyemezian Started racing in 2016 when he was 12 years old, showing glimpses of raw talent by being in the Top 10 superstars in GT SPORT and racing against the best in the world.

Mohammed Akram: Mohammed has already proven his race craft through real-world racing through karting, of which he aims to transfer and compete highly in the digital space going into 2021

Yashish Manohar: Yashish has achieved great success within the 3 year period of his debut into racing as well as esports, starting off with a fantastic list of achievements in real-world karting.

GET INVOLVED WITH THE OPEN TRIALS

The creation of the YAS HEAT Open Trials aims to provide a platform for aspiring local competitors to hone their skills, progressing to a level which will enable them to take part in tournaments around the globe.

As a result, the spotlight will focus on Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE as a respected, credible and ever-growing esports destination.
