The Yas Young Driver Experience is the ultimate introduction to motorsport for ages 14 and above. Participants will take the wheel of a real Caterham on the North Handling Configuration, build their skills on professional racing simulators, and learn essential driving techniques through expert coaching, plus enjoy a Kartzone voucher to keep the adrenaline going.

Duration of the full experience: 2 hours
- This includes briefing, technical training, simulator session, Caterham on-track driving, karting session, and a Garage Technical Tour. The schedule is subject to Race Control and Circuit Safety Operations.
Pre-arrival:
- Arrive 20–30 minutes before your scheduled experience
- Please wear clothes covering your arms and legs, and closed-toe shoes (national dress & abayas are not permitted)
- If you are redeeming a gift voucher, ensure it is valid (vouchers are valid for one year from date of purchase)
- Friends and family are welcome to attend and watch
On arrival:
- Access the circuit via West Entrance and head to Yas Central
- Have your ticket order number ready
- Register at the main reception
- Our team will validate your booking, provide a wristband, and guide you to the briefing room
Experience Overview

You will be fitted with a helmet, balaclava, and gloves. A race suit will be provided and must be worn during the experience.
Your instructor will introduce you to the car and explain all controls before driving.
Anyone suspected of being unfit to drive due to alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.

Digital Waiver:
- Participants must sign a waiver on the official Yas Marina Circuit mobile app
- Participants who fail to upload documents digitally will be contacted to ensure completion prior to arrival, as this is mandatory
- For participants under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must authorize and sign the digital waiver
Driving license requirements:
- No driving license is required to participate
- All participants must follow instructions provided by instructors and safety staff at all times
- Anyone suspected of being unfit to drive due to alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Important driving license requirements: To participate, all drivers must be over age of 17 and present a valid U.A.E license (residents) or domestic license from their home country (non-residents). Drivers aged 17 - 25 must have held their license for two years minimum. Provisional licenses are not accepted.
If your current driving license does not mention the initial issuing date, please be ready to present proof of your previous driving license. - Please note that the duration of the full experience (arrival, registration, briefing, kit up, drive and departure) is approximately 60 minutes, subject to Race Control and Circuit Safety Operations session scheduling.
- Please arrive 20 – 30 minutes before your schedule experience.
- Upon Arrival: Access the circuit via West Entrance and head to Yas Central.
- We aim to provide you a positive and smooth customer experience. Our customer service will assist you in completing your driving license and waiver procedures 24 hours prior the experience and reach out to guests who fail to upload documents digitally to ensure they do so prior to arrival, this is a mandatory requirement.
