The region’s biggest weekend of sport and entertainment just got even bigger after organisers announce that R&B legend Usher will join acclaimed UK rap artist Dave as part of the line-up on Thursday 17th November
Alongside Usher, the full line-up now includes Dave, Swedish House Mafia, Kendrick Lamar, and Def Leppard – 5 acts making 2022 one of the biggest ever #AbuDhabiGP festival weekends
Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE, November 4, 2022: With only two weeks until the 2022 Formula 1 season finale at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management and Flash Entertainment today confirmed that US R&B icon Usher will join the Yasalam After-Race Concert line-up on Thursday, 17th November.
The addition of Usher to the bill means that five-artists will be performing in what promises to be an extra special four-day line-up of global music superstars, with acclaimed British rap star Dave, multi-Platinum, Grammy-Award winning artist Kendrick Lamar, multi-Grammy Award nominated hip hop trio Swedish House Mafia, and Hall of Fame legends Def Leppard all performing at Etihad Park – the entertainment centrepiece of Yas Island.
Excitement for the event is building as the Middle East’s biggest entertainment weekend prepares once again to bring the world to the UAE, cementing further the emirate’s global reputation as a hub for sporting events and excellence.
The diamond-selling international megastar, actor, dancer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and proud Atlanta resident Usher has, thus far, gathered eight Grammy Awards and emerged as Billboard’s “#1 Hot 100 Artist of the 2000s,” “#2 most successful artist of the 2000s,” and “one of the best-selling artists in American music history,” according to the RIAA. He catapulted four consecutive albums to #1 on the Billboard Top 200, beginning with the landmark diamond-certified Confessions in 2004.
Access to the concerts is exclusively for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders. While unprecedented global demand has seen all 2022 Grand Prix tickets sold out, limited Golden Circle access is still available, providing the best possible access closest to the stage at the Etihad Park.
