GET TRAINING ON TRACK AS DUYAS RETURNS TO YAS MARINA CIRCUIT THIS MONTH
Locally beloved DuYas and RunYas events return to the iconic Yas Island circuit on Monday 24th October
Fitness enthusiasts of all ages can get first laps in on track in final race day before this year’s Formula 1 season finale
Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, XX October, 2022: As Yas Island gears up for this year’s unmissable Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, fitness enthusiasts can be among the first to test out the track for this year’s Formula 1 season finale as DuYas and RunYas make their return with an incredible evening for all ages at the Yas Marina Circuit course on Monday 24th October.
This month’s DuYas race will see athletes take on the challenging 27.5km endurance race, split across a 5km run, a 20km cycle before racing across the final 2.5km sprint as an up-close preview to this year’s incredible #AbuDhabiGP.
Athletes can choose to enter as an individual or in a relay team of four members for the Sprint Duathlon, with entry fees starting from 150 AED for the event on Monday 24th October. For added excitement to this month’s DuYas event, athletes can enter into the junior categories, and can compete in the Junior Super Sprint across the short 13.75km short course, testing their skills before a race to the finish line.
The exciting individual and relay races will also see a range of prizes up for grabs. First place finishers across the Male, Female and Teams categories can win the top prize of 500 AED with the top relay team earning a 1,000 AED prize for their success in the event, with multiple categories of entry available including across the Junior, Open, Masters and Veteran sections.
Athletes of all ages can also enter into the RunYas event, as runners take on the 5km or 2.5km course around the iconic Yas Marina Circuit track with entry fees from just 65AED.
In compliance with official local safety requirements, participants will be required to present a 30-day Al Hosn Green Pass for entry to the circuit. Entrants without proof of vaccination will be required to present a negative 96-hour PCR to enter the premises.
