FINAL LINE-UP: WORLD LEADING ESPORTS RACING TEAMS JOIN YAS HEAT, BMW, PORSCHE24 REDLINE IN V10 R-LEAGUE

The final two teams are confirmed for the inaugural season of the V10 R-League, with BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Team and Porsche24 Redline completing a line-up which includes the newly formed YAS HEAT.

The five other teams set to take part are Red Bull Racing Esports, Williams Esports, Team Fordzilla, BWT Racing Point Esports and JEASA Team Suzuki.

The even number of teams ensures the unique head-to-head racing format will be brought to life, shining a light on a unique championship.

Launched last week, YAS HEAT is a new esports team based in Abu Dhabi, focused on competing in esports championships internationally, kicking off with its participation in the V10 R-League, where they will go up against six rivals, including BMW Motorsport and Porsche 24.

BMW Motorsport has been increasing its involvement with sim racing, collaborating with various established teams. The BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Team will send four drivers into action for the V10 R-League season - Cem Bölükbasi, Laurin Heinrich, Coque Lopéz and Kevin Siggy.

As well as having proven his quality on various sim platforms, Bölükbasi is also a successful real-life racer with the BMW M4 GT4 in the GT4 European Series.

Rudolf Dittrich, General Manager BMW Motorsport Vehicle Development, said: “We are happy to see a BMW Motorsport SIM Racing entry in the V10 R-League. Our drivers have connections to various sim racing teams and are now joining forces to fly the flag for BMW Motorsport. For us, sim racing has become an additional pillar in our race programme, and we want to play an active role in this world by bringing our experience and technologies.”

Founded 20 years ago, Team Redline has pioneered the sim racing scene and is still leading the way at the sharp end thanks to the qualities of the likes of Max Benecke and Greger Huttu.

Having grown accustomed to success in recent years, Porsche 24 by Team Redline enter the V10 R-League with big ambitions.

Diederik Kinds, Porsche 24 by Team Redline Principal, said: "The Global Racing Series is an exciting new esports concept. Since our inception in 2000 Team Redline has been pioneering in esports and we are proud to be part of the first ever V10-R season. We believe Gfinity and ADMM have created a gem, we look forward to competing on this platform and helping to make it grow into a global success"

The League puts all eight teams on an equal playing field as they will drive equal spec cars. What will set them apart is each team’s bespoke car liveries.
