GULF 12 HOURS FEATURING VALENTINO ROSSI RETURNS TO YAS MARINA CIRCUIT

Italian race legend Rossi will be competing for the Monster VR46 Kessel team

The event will also be supported by the second round of the TRD86 Cup

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, December 5th, 2019: The Gulf 12 Hours returns to Yas Marina Circuit next week, giving fans the opportunity to watch one of the region’s toughest endurance races featuring teams from across the globe and a total of 37 vehicles, the largest field to date, including an expected four GT3 Pro cars from AMG Mercedes, Audi, Ferrari and Porsche.

The ninth edition of the event, which will feature race legend Valentino Rossi, takes place in Abu Dhabi on Saturday 14th December and features two rounds of high-speed, top-level racing, each lasting six hours. Testing, practice, and qualifying sessions will be held in the two days prior to the race.

The Gulf 12-Hours is made up of elements which take place in both daylight and under floodlights, with a whole host of luxury cars, including Lamborghini, Ferarri, Audi, Mercedes, BMW and Porsche, set to feature.
The 2019 grid welcomes this year’s Spa 24 Hour winners GPX Racing for Porsche, Attempto Racing for Audi, HTP Motorsport for Mercedes-AMG and Ferrari stalwarts Kessel Racing, winners of the last four editions of the Gulf 12 Hours.

The event will also be supported by the second round of the TRD86 Cup, Yas Marina Circuit’s first ever single make championship where participants, all behind the wheel of a Toyota GT 86, go head to head over the course of seven race weekends to compete for a place on the podium.

The involvement of Rossi, a seven-time Moto GP winner, in the Gulf 12 Hours is huge. He will be racing for the Monster VR46 Kessel team in a Ferrari 488 GT3. It’s not just about the race action, with plenty more to enjoy throughout the weekend.

Circuit Safari is a chance for you to get up close and personal and there will also be a Supercar Festival on-track, as well as a Pit Stop Challenge over the course of the two days. Special offers on both retail and karting will also be in operation.
