F3 ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP AND F4 UAE FORM PART OF YAS RACING SERIES ROUND TWO

YAS MARINA CIRCUIT WILL HOST THE EVENT ON 4-7 FEBRUARY

BOTH HAMDA AND AMNA AL QUBAISI WILL BE IN RACE ACTION

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, 1 February 2021: Round two of Yas Racing Series, featuring the Formula 3 Asian Championship and Formula 4 UAE, is set to take place at Yas Marina Circuit from 4-7 February.

Both Hamda and Amna Al Qubaisi, two rising stars in the world of motorsport, will be in action at the home of the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, along with a host of other young talented drivers who will be showcasing their abilities across the two competitions.

Round one of Yas Racing Series, which took place last month, was a huge success, with competitive racing in events such as F4 UAE, Gulf Radical Cup and Hankook 6H Abu Dhabi.

On that occasion, Hamda Al Qubaisi, performing for Abu Dhabi Racing, secured her maiden victory of this year’s F4 UAE, and she will be looking to produce another impressive display when the penultimate round of races takes place at Yas Marina Circuit this coming weekend.

The third round took place recently at Dubai Autodrome, where there were victories for Dilano Van’t Hoff, Enzo Trulli and Kirill Smal. Hamda Al Qubaisi currently occupies fourth place in the Drivers’ Championship, with Abu Dhabi Racing third in the Teams’ Championship.

Amna Al Qubaisi, meanwhile, will be part of the Abu Dhabi Racing team for the F3 Asian Championship, which enters its second round as part of Yas Racing Series.

Now in its fourth year, the 2021 F3 Asian Championship is made up of drivers from 17 different countries spanning four different continents. Other teams competing in this year’s event, alongside Abu Dhabi Racing, include BlackArts Racing, Pinnacle Motorsport, Mumbai Falcons, Motoscape and Hitech Grand Prix.

The opening round of action took place at Dubai Autodrome, and it’s Abu Dhabi Racing who are currently leading the Championship after China’s Guanyu Zhou sped to victory in the first two races of the competition.

F4 UAE comes to a conclusion on 11-13 February, with the F3 Asian Championship drawing to a close on 19-20 February.

However, there is still plenty at stake in both competitions, with some high-speed competitive race action to take place before the winners are crowned, starting this coming weekend at Yas Marina Circuit.
